The Secret to Love That Lasts

Whatever the quality of your marriage now, it can always be better.

With all the help available from so many different sources in this digital world we reside in, why have so few couples found the secret to keeping love alive?

Arguably, love and being loved is the most important thing in the world. It can also be the most confusing.  All relationship experts, myself included, agree that love plays a central role in life.

The need to feel loved is a primary human emotional need and there's no getting away from or denying that.

Love Languages works on the premise that we all have our own Love Language.   There are 5 main Love Languages and most people fall into one dominant Love Language style, however, people can have Bi-Lingual or even Multilingual Love Language styles.

Problems can arise in relationships when couples speak different Love Languages.  An example of this would be when one party in the relationship needs constant Physical Touch to feel loved and validated.  The other individual in the relationship may be repulsed or annoyed that their partner needs and seeks out constant touch to feel loved and valued and here is where we see disparity within the parameters of the union.

Learning your partners Love Language can be the smartest and most rewarding thing you'll ever do in relation to gaining a real understanding of what and how to fill your partners Love Tank.

How Love Languages can repair relationships

Have you ever felt like you speak a completely different Language to your partner? If so, it's not an uncommon phenomenon. Sure, we all know about the Mars and Venus analogy, but there's more to it than simply having a 'male' or 'female' brain.

You may not know it, but we all speak a second language.  The second language is your very own LOVE LANGUAGE.

Once you establish which of the known Love Languages are at play in your own relationships, you can also learn how to 'feed your partner' what they need and 'fill their Love Tanks' for optimal happiness and fulfillment.

We've all seen or experienced what it can be like to communicate with someone who speaks a different language - the transaction may be fractured, difficult and many misunderstandings may occur.  This same ritual is played out over and over in many relationships when we communicate using conflicting Love Languages.
